one of the local markets in germany that i have been to has the uncut version as well as a dubbed version. why it is dubbed i don’t know. it was the only market where it was offered. i was given some german tv captures of the 77 min version on that market as well:
bologna impreved by the fact that his muse is no longer to be found. finally, the filmmaker is keen to extend his artistic practice and has the great idea of turning the notorious “enrapture” (an impressive metaphor, indeed) into a feature film, although, in fact, there is no one else who would like the job.. a young woman, also known as a nymphet, she is a vain, demanding playmate who loves to be desired, especially by german soldiers. our hero, bologna, based on advice from a doctor, then takes matters into his own hands, not knowing that his tender love will undergo a violent transformation as the film unfolds.
with a director of quality like mimmo, you can take a good idea and everything. piccole labbra is filled with beautiful young actors who are perfectly suited. the future was very bright. unfortunately, this film failed to be the best work, and the real fans could not see the incentive of this film. he has done a great deal for women’s cinema, but he could not get away from the melodrama, which is so foreign to the genre..
german director michael cimino wanted to make a romantic film. he cast ash and katya (not the other way around, as in most italian productions). he cast gerard damiano as editor, and he cast richard dreyfuss to star as the male lead.
actors in the movie don’t age. cimino didn’t want the type of old actors who have their own personal make-up and hair teams and look just as young in a film as they did in the past, like clint eastwood for example. he wanted people who could actually act, and have the same appearance in every role. it shows.
